YOUR BEHAVIOURAL ASSESSMENT
Behavioural counselling starts with a full assessment of the problem. This is a very thorough lesson and may last up to 2 hours. The session is usually held in your own home. This session will provide full advice on the problem/s causing concern. Clients will receive written advisory notes and a retraining program. Free On- line and telephone support is offered thereafter. Quite often this one intensive session will provide the answers and lead to the desired result. Sometimes owners need to book further sessions,particularly if some general training is advised. There is nothing like positive formal dog training to improve the handler/dog relationship and address matters of leadership etc
GENERAL BEHAVIOURAL PROBLEMS COVERED
Chewing and other types of destructive behaviour. Digging, excessive barking, chasing, house training, stealing, eating faeces, seperation anxiety, roaming, mouthing, jumping up, general disobedience etc
TEMPERAMENT PROBLEMS COVERED
Nervousness, fearful and phobic behaviour, dominant behaviour, aggression [to dogs, people, other animals], guarding behaviour, hyperactivity etc Please note that some of these inherant and genetic problems may not ever be completely cured.However with understanding and correct handling improvement is achievable in the majority of cases.
