BACKGROUND
I have been training dogs for over 35 years and to date have helped over 6000 owners to train their pets to be good companions. I started Exning Dog Training Centre in 1986 and at the beginning of 2007 my dogs and I relocated to the Lakenheath, Suffolk area. The school is now known as the K9magic Dog Training Centre, but classes and courses still continue in the Newmarket area, as well as in Mildenhall. I have trained and handled virtually every breed of dog from a chihuahua to Gt Danes and Wolfhounds. My training methods are modern,kind and highly effective. I use exactly the same techniques regardless of whether I am training a companion dog or a top competition dog. ALL my training is reward-based.
COMPETITIVE HIGHLIGHTS TO DATE
Over the past 27 years I and my dogs have competed with consistent and continuous success in Working Trials, Obedience and more recently Heelwork to Music and Canine Freestyle. We have also on occasion tried our hand/paws at breed showing, Agility and Gundog scurries with equal success. In the course of those 27 years I have owned, trained and worked 2 German Shepherds, 4 Border Collies and a Foxhound xJack Russell! To date we have won over 3000 awards in working competitions. Highlights have been: Being invited to the prestigous International Superdog of the Year 6 times with 3 different dogs. Achieving 2 wins, 2 times runner-up, 3rd and 4th: Qualifying Tracker Dog Excellent over 100 times with 3 different dogs: Winning 5 Tracking Championship Certificates with 3 different dogs: Attending the Kennel Club Championships 5 times: Attending Tracker dog of the year with 2 dogs: Training 3 dogs up to dual championship level [Trials and Obedience]: Winning the annual Pedigree chum canine musical freestyle at Coventry. Performing Musical Freestyle at Crufts in 2003 with Giddy my top Working Trial Champion. [see him on the Home page] We have appeared on BBC, ITV, Radio Suffolk, Radio Cambridge. I have also judged at all levels in Obedience, Heelwork to Music, and Working Trials

PRESENT DOGS
Trick or Treat CDX UDX NOV F/S EX[Gus] Border Collie. Gus is pictured above. He is Giddy's son and the image of his dad. He has inherited his superb temperament and working ability. Due to personal circumstances Gus has done very little in the way of competitions. However, he is showing every sign of following in his dad's footsteps. He has won working trials at Open and Championship levels and has recently started Heelwork to music and Canine Freestlye. At his first 2 shows he has had 2 wins & 2 x 2nds qualifying up to Intermediate level in just one weekend! Gus may be available for limited stud from 2008. Finally, our new boy on the block - Trick of the Trade. [Dessie]. Dessie is a stunning blue merle working sheepdog puppy. He is pictured on the Behaviour Clinic page. We hope to start competing in 2008.
